Self Portrait Tuesday: Personal History
Source of Inspiration:
This photo was taken in April 1990 in front of the West side of the Berlin Wall. The wall had fallen about 5 months earlier. I was living in Germany then and it was a surreal moment in history.
For me, looking at this picture is like looking at a stranger.

It's a very cool shot. "Like looking at a stranger" because you don't recognize the you you were then?
Isn't it amazing that its been 15 years? I look at old pictures, remember the circumstances, and think, what the hell were we thinking? I guess its all part of "youth and enthusiasm."
That is a really great picture! I lived in Germany from 1982 through 1988 and went to East Germany and East Berlin through Checkpoint Charlie. I was shocked to see the wall fall. I haven't been back since. I wonder how different things are now?

I love the picture of the wall. I love Germany, was there in 1986, Heidleberg and Frankfurt.
